The Wizard was one of DC Thomson's Big 5 storypapers
which were launched in response to the popularity of 'The
Gem' and 'The Magnet'
Along with 'The Wizard', DC Thomson also launched 'The Rover',
'The Skipper'
and 'The
Hotspur'.
Stories in The Wizard included 'The Wolf of Kabul', 'V
for Vengeance', 'The Truth About Wilson' and 'Limp Along Leslie'. 'The Truth
About Wilson' and 'Limp Along Leslie' later made appearances in
Spike comic in the 1980s.
