On 15th February 2007, Daleks will invade Bash Street. Whether or not Daleks or even Cybermen would be a match for the Bash Street Kids remains to be seen.

In conjunction with Comic relief on 15th February 2007, DC Thomson are releasing a new comic called Beanomax. Beanomax is a different type of comic devised to appeal to a older audience, especially 8 to 13 year olds. Along with comic strips, there will also be games reviews, competitions and jokes. Each monthly issue will include free gifts and will feature top celebrities.

The comic will retain its links to its older sibling, 'The Beano' with features linked to 'The Beano'. Beanomax will have the usual favourites but the characters will have longer and more in depth story lines aimed at it's older audience.

The comic will initially have a print run of 120,000 copies and will be printed on a higher quality, glossy paper. There will be 10 issues a year priced at £2.48 an issue with 2 bumper issues priced at £2.98 each.
