On 15th February 2007, Daleks invaded Bash Street. Whether or not Daleks or even Cybermen would be a match for the Bash Street Kids remains to be seen.

In conjunction with Comic relief on 15th February 2007, DC Thomson released a new comic called Beanomax. Beanomax is a different type of comic devised to appeal to a older audience, especially 8 to 13 year olds. Along with comic strips, there are also games reviews, competitions and jokes. Each monthly issue includes free gifts and features top celebrities.

The comic retains its links to its older sibling, 'The Beano' with features linked to 'The Beano'. Beanomax has the usual favourites but the characters have longer and more in depth story lines aimed at it's older audience.

The comic will initially had a print run of 120,000 copies and is be printed on a higher quality, glossy paper. There are 10 issues a year.
